Uncorked: LA is back for its 12th year at Union Station, and it is one of the better LA food festivals to put on the calendar for the first month of 2027. Wineries from across the globe set up pours alongside local gourmet food trucks and live music, turning the landmark train station into an evening-long tasting party.

When: Saturday, January 23, 2027, 5 PM to 9 PM Where: Union Station Los Angeles, 800 N Alameda St Tickets: From $83.99 on Eventbrite

What to expect

The format is simple and sociable. You get a tasting glass, then wander between winery tables sampling pours from many regions and styles. Food trucks handle the soaking-up part of the evening, and music keeps the mood relaxed rather than rowdy. The organizers pitch it to both serious wine fans and casual sippers, so you do not need to know your tannins from your terroir to have a good time.

Union Station itself is half the draw. The 1939 Mission Revival and Art Deco building has patios, arched walkways and vintage fixtures that make a better backdrop than most convention halls. Dress for a night outdoors in January and bring a layer.

Planning your visit

Union Station sits at the end of the Metro A, B and D lines, so riding the train in is the easy way to avoid parking and the post-tasting drive. Rideshare drop-off is straightforward off Alameda Street. The event is 21 and over for alcohol, so check the Eventbrite listing for the official age policy and any ticket tiers before you buy.

If you are building a list of things to do in Los Angeles this winter, this is a strong pick for a date night or a group of friends. Tickets for events like this tend to climb as the date approaches, so booking early usually saves a little.

Pair it with a stroll through nearby Olvera Street or Chinatown before or after, and you have a full evening downtown without needing a second car.
