America's Funniest Home Videos: Live Taping in LA

America's Funniest Home Videos is back for a new season, and you can watch it get made. The show tapes at Manhattan Beach Studios with host Alfonso Ribeiro, and On Camera Audiences, the official audience service, is taking ticket requests for the Saturday, October 24, 2026 listing. If you're building a list of things to do in Los Angeles that aren't another concert or brunch, a TV taping is a good change of pace.

What the show is

AFV is the longest-running primetime entertainment show in ABC's history, and it has been a Sunday night habit for decades. The format is simple: everyday people caught on camera in their funniest, most embarrassing moments. Think practical jokes, home improvement plans that went sideways, animal mishaps and plain strange behavior. In the studio, Ribeiro hosts and the audience reacts to the clips as they roll.

What to know before you request

The minimum age to attend is 16, so this one isn't for younger kids. On Camera Audiences also asks that you reserve tickets for only one AFV taping per season. The studio is small and intimate, and the service wants to give as many different people as possible a turn.

Requests go through the official On Camera Audiences page for the show, and nobody else. Audience services routinely book more people than the studio holds, which means a ticket gets you priority in line, not a guaranteed seat. Plan to arrive early, and don't make non-refundable plans around getting in.

The page lists show dates up to 60 days in advance, so more tapings may appear as the season fills in. If your date isn't open yet, the service lets you sign up for notices when new dates or similar shows are added. The listing we're working from shows October 24 as the first date, and our page keeps that date as published, so check the official page for the actual call time.

Getting there

The taping is in Manhattan Beach, on the South Bay side of the county. The official ticket page lists the full studio address and any arrival instructions. Traffic on the 405 and Rosecrans can be slow on a weekend, so leave extra time. Pair it with a walk on the beach afterward and it turns into one of the more fun LA events this weekend for anyone who likes live TV.
