Lakers vs. Bucks at Crypto.com Arena

The Los Angeles Lakers return to Crypto.com Arena on January 17, 2027, hosting the Milwaukee Bucks in what promises to be one of the better LA sports events on the NBA calendar this winter. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM PT.

This matchup puts two storied franchises on the same floor. The Bucks have long been built around their frontcourt dominance, and the Lakers know they'll need to match that intensity on both ends if they want to stay ahead in the Western Conference standings. Expect a physical, contested game from the opening tip.

Crypto.com Arena sits in the heart of downtown LA at 1111 S. Figueroa Street. The building's gold and purple lighting on a game night carries a distinct energy that's hard to replicate anywhere else in the league. Championship banners stretch across the rafters above the court, a constant reminder of what this franchise has accomplished and what it still chases every season.

The arena holds just over 19,000 fans for NBA games. If you're planning to go, the lower bowl fills quickly for marquee matchups, and the Bucks typically travel well given their strong national fanbase. Getting there early gives you time to grab food from the arena's concessions and settle in before warmups.

Getting There

Driving: The arena has a surface lot and structured parking immediately adjacent. Parking demand on a Sunday evening tip-off can be significant; budget extra time or check app-based parking reservations in advance.

Metro: The Metro Blue Line and Expo Line both stop at the 7th Street/Metro Center station, about a 10-minute walk from the arena. It's one of the easiest venues in the city to reach by rail, and it cuts out the parking hassle entirely. If you're looking for things to do near me and you're already downtown, the venue is walkable from most hotel corridors along Figueroa and Flower Streets.

Ride-share: Drop-off and pickup points are marked on both the Figueroa and Chick Hearn Court sides of the building.

Tickets

Tickets are available on Ticketmaster. Prices vary by section; premium lower-bowl seats go fast for Bucks games given the national interest in the matchup. Checking early typically gets you better options before availability tightens.

Lakers home games at Crypto.com Arena are among the consistent sporting events los angeles draws year after year, and a midseason Bucks visit in January makes for a great night out in downtown. Book early if you want to be in the building.
