Lakers vs. Timberwolves at Crypto.com Arena

Late in the NBA regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers take the floor at Crypto.com Arena to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 7, 2027. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM local time, and this one could carry real playoff seeding weight heading into the postseason.

Crypto.com Arena sits right in the middle of downtown Los Angeles at 1111 S. Figueroa St, two blocks from the 110 freeway and steps from the 7th St/Metro Center station on the Blue, Expo, and Purple Lines. Parking fills quickly on game nights; Metro is the easier call. The arena also connects to L.A. Live, where you'll find plenty of pre-game options for food and drinks before you head through the doors.

The Lakers and Timberwolves have been one of the more competitive Western Conference matchups in recent seasons. Minnesota's frontcourt depth gives the Lakers a physical test, and these late-season games tend to have a different energy than your average December midweek matchup. Whether the standings are tight or one team is jockeying for seeding, you can expect the Crypto.com Arena crowd to show up.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. These are among the more popular LA sports events on the calendar in April, so prices shift as the game approaches. If you're looking for seats closer to the floor, check early.

A few practical notes: doors typically open around 90 minutes before tipoff. The arena has a clear-bag policy. Rideshare drop-off is off of Chick Hearn Court on the north side of the building, which tends to move faster than the parking structures on game nights.

For visitors exploring Things Happening In Los Angeles that week, the surrounding South Park and Downtown neighborhoods have added a lot in recent years. Grand Central Market is a 10-minute walk north; the Broad and MOCA are both nearby if you're making a day of it. It's the kind of evening where you can make a full night out of it without much effort.

The Timberwolves have their own fan base in Southern California, so expect a mix of purple and gold. Games like this one sell better than their regular-season status sometimes suggests, especially if both teams are in the hunt. Get in before the late rush if you want options on seating.
