Los Angeles Lakers vs. Atlanta Hawks

The Los Angeles Lakers host the Atlanta Hawks at Crypto.com Arena on March 19, 2027, in what should be a lively NBA regular-season showdown downtown. If you're looking for LA sports events worth penciling in well before the calendar flips, this one fits the bill: a midweek night game at one of the busiest arenas in the country, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The Matchup

The Lakers and the Hawks have produced some memorable back-and-forths over the past few seasons. Atlanta brings a fast-paced offense built around its backcourt, while the Lakers lean on physicality in the paint and half-court execution. Whether Los Angeles is chasing a playoff spot or protecting one by late March, games at this stage of the schedule tend to carry real stakes for both sides.

Crypto.com Arena, home of the Lakers since 1999, holds just under 19,000 seats. The lower bowl fills quickly for premium matchups, so buying early, especially for floor-adjacent seats, tends to pay off.

Who to Watch

Late-season NBA games often see rotations tighten and minutes become more deliberate. Count on the Lakers' frontcourt doing heavy lifting early, while Atlanta typically generates its best looks in transition. If the Hawks push pace, the second half could get entertaining in a hurry.

Getting There

Crypto.com Arena sits at 1111 S. Figueroa St in downtown Los Angeles, steps from the 10, 110, and 101 freeways. That said, parking in the area fills and prices spike on game nights. The Metro A Line and E Line both stop at 7th Street/Metro Center, roughly a five-minute walk. The Metro B and D Lines serve Pershing Square, a similar distance east.

If you're coming from outside the immediate downtown core, the Metro is genuinely the least stressful option. If you're driving, rideshare drop-off on Figueroa is faster than looking for a lot.

Tickets are available on Ticketmaster. For anyone running through a list of sporting events los angeles has to offer this spring, a Lakers home game is a reliable choice: the arena experience is polished, the energy is real, and March matchups usually mean something.
