Catch One

Catch One fills a corner of West Pico Boulevard in a black two-story building, and a neon Jewel's Catch One sign still hangs over the sidewalk. Inside, the club says it has five rooms, and they aren't alike. The Disco is the big one, listed at 800 capacity, with a 27-foot-wide stage, a DJ deck and a flown LED wall. Jewel's Room holds 275, with its DJ booth up on a mezzanine.

Because the rooms differ so much, look at the room named on your listing before you pick a time to arrive. The venue also says some events sell out, so it suggests getting there early.

The house rules are specific. Dress runs from casual to dressy casual, and open-toe shoes are out. Only small purses get in, and security searches them, so backpacks and large bags stay in the car. The minimum age changes from event to event.

Driving has an easy answer. There's on-site parking right next to the building. Other lots nearby aren't managed by Catch One, so read the signs before you leave your car.
