DigAlert Grove of Anaheim

The DigAlert Grove of Anaheim is the cream-colored hall with the arched entry and the water tower on Katella Avenue, with the Angel Stadium grandstand rising right behind it. Ask anyone in Orange County and they'll just call it the Grove. The building has carried a few sponsor names over the years, and City National Grove of Anaheim is the one most ticket stubs in your drawer will show. DigAlert is the newest.

Inside, it's a mid-size theater room, the kind of place where acts too big for a club but nowhere near arena size end up. The calendar swings a lot. You'll see oldies and R&B packages, regional Mexican and Latin pop, comedians on tour, and the odd rock or hip-hop bill, sometimes all in one month.

The venue now runs under OCVibe, the same team behind Honda Center down the street, and its show listings and house rules live on that site. Parking is in the venue's own lot next door: $25 for standard and $35 for premium, paid by card or phone, and the gates open an hour before doors. ARTIC, the Anaheim train station, is close by if you'd rather skip the drive.

Bring the smallest bag you own. The limit is tight, at 5 by 9 by 2 inches, backpacks are out, and nobody will hold your things at the door. Smoking and vaping are banned inside and outside the building. If you leave after your ticket is scanned, you won't get back in on it.
