Club Tee Gee

Bar · Los Angeles

3210 Glendale Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90039

Club Tee Gee is a dark cocktail lounge at 3210 Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village, and it has been pouring since 1946. The name is two sets of initials: Neil Tracy and Joe Grzybowski, the brothers-in-law who opened it, put their surnames together for the sign. A fire nearly ended the place in 1993, and after longtime owner Betty Barlotta died in 2016 it closed again, but a renovation brought it back in November 2018 under new ownership with the neon glowing.

The room is small and windowless, with leather booths along the walls, a glitter-flecked ceiling and a jukebox. A bronze plaque by the door calls it the Cheers of Atwater Village, which tells you the crowd skews regulars. The renovation reopened the dormant restaurant half as extra bar space with a DJ booth, and a patio sits out back. On a given week you might find an all-night disco party, a reggae night on the patio, or a free Monday show, with no cover on most of them.

The bar runs a happy hour until 7 PM daily. Posted hours are 4 PM to 2 AM Monday through Friday, 2 PM to 2 AM Saturday and noon to 2 AM Sunday. The bar has no standalone website, so its Facebook page and Instagram carry the calendar, and neither states a capacity, a cover charge, a bag policy or parking details.
