The Compound By Dirt Dog

The Compound sits at 2909 Supply Ave in Commerce, past the industrial edge where downtown Los Angeles gives way to warehouses and distribution centers. It carries the name of Dirt Dog, the LA street food chain whose Commerce branch shares the property, and the kitchen still serves hot dogs and elotes on the days it is not booked. Promoters took over the warehouse and the lot around it, and the site now runs as a multi-room event compound with an indoor floor and an outdoor yard that opens for festivals and large takeovers.

Bass music takes up most of the calendar. Promoters like B-Side Los Angeles, Rave Haven and Framework book everything from dubstep and riddim to techno and reggaeton. The venue draws crowds for label showcases, festival circuits and weekend dance parties that often run until three in the morning. Production quality scales with each booking: custom lighting rigs, line arrays and laser shows are standard on both stages.

Age policies vary by promoter and night. Some shows carry eighteen plus gates, others sit twenty-one and over. Parking fills up quickly on event nights.
