Crypto.com Arena is the biggest room on our concert list. The venue says concert capacity nears 20,000, depending on how the stage is set up. It sits at 1111 S. Figueroa Street, across from L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. Older Angelenos know it as Staples Center, and plenty of people still say that.

It opened on October 17, 1999, with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Since then it has hosted dozens of Grammy shows, three NBA All-Star Weekends, and tours from Taylor Swift and Adele. The Lakers, Kings and Sparks play here too, so a concert date can land next to a home game.

At seated events the arena says guests sit only in their ticketed seats, and standing in the aisles or on chairs is not allowed. The rules are strict about bags. Purses, backpacks, totes and fanny packs stay home, and only small clutches and wallets are allowed inside. If you do bring a bag, the check starts at $15 and doesn't get refunded. The building is cashless and smoke-free.

Parking passes are digital, so a screenshot won't get you through the gate. Easier still, ride the A or E Line to Pico Station. The walk from there is one block west and one block over.
