Dignity Health Sports Park

Dignity Health Sports Park takes up 125 acres of the Cal State Dominguez Hills campus in Carson, a short drive off the 405, 110 or 91. AEG runs it. The main soccer stadium seats 26,000 and is the LA Galaxy's home, and the grounds also hold an 8,000-seat tennis stadium and an indoor velodrome. It opened in 2003 as The Home Depot Center and spent years as StubHub Center, so plenty of locals still use those names.

Most nights the schedule is soccer, from the Galaxy to Angel City FC, with boxing cards and the odd football game mixed in. The stadium is also built for outdoor concerts, so check the list below. Everything here happens under the open sky, and a light jacket helps once the sun goes down.

The gates take a clear bag no bigger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, a one-gallon freezer bag or a small clutch, and the venue would rather you bring nothing. There's no re-entry. Kids 2 and older need a ticket, and some events set their own age rule. The whole venue is cashless, with reverse ATMs that turn bills into cards.

Most people drive. Parking is in on-site lots, card only, with prices posted per event; Galaxy matches run $30. Tailgating is allowed in a few of the lots from three hours before kickoff. The rideshare zone is at the top of Gate A, off Avalon and 184th. For Galaxy home games there's the free Galaxy Express, a shuttle from Harbor Gateway Transit Center on the J Line or from Del Amo on the A Line, but it doesn't run for concerts.
