Elevate Lounge

Elevate Lounge is a rooftop nightclub on the 21st floor of 811 Wilshire Blvd, in the Financial District of downtown Los Angeles. It shares the floor with Takami Sushi & Robata, the restaurant that runs it, so the night starts with an elevator ride up an office tower and ends with the Wilshire high-rises at eye level. The club is open Friday and Saturday only, 10 PM to 2 AM. Promoters book the nights, and the parties that land here lean toward hip-hop, top 40, reggaeton and themed costume nights. Age limits are set per event, so check the listing before you head out.

Eating at Takami doesn't get you into Elevate on its own. Spend at least $60 a head at the restaurant and you can skip the club line, and a $400 table there takes $100 off bottle service. Bottle service runs on a one-bottle minimum for up to six people, plus 9.75% tax and a 20% service charge. A $300 deposit holds the table and comes off your bill when you arrive.

The dress code is upscale casual to upscale. Shorts, plain white T-shirts, tank tops, graphic tees, snapback or baseball caps, running shoes, flip flops and unkempt sneakers won't get past the door. Coat check and phone charging cost $10 each, and there are tacos for sale upstairs.

Valet is a flat $15 during operating hours, and the entrance is on Lebanon St, the alley on the west side of the building. If you leave a car behind, the SP+ Parking office at 616 S Figueroa St releases it weekdays from 6 AM to 3 PM, or the valet does after 5 PM the next day. The 7th Street/Metro Center station is a block away, so the train is the easier way home at 2 AM.
