The GRAMMY Museum sits at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, at 800 W Olympic Blvd, steps from Crypto.com Arena and the convention center. It's four floors of exhibits, from red-carpet outfits worn to the GRAMMY Awards to a permanent Latin music gallery, and it's also where the museum's public programs happen: artist conversations and performances, plus film screenings, most of them starting at 7:30 PM.

Two rooms show up on those listings. The Clive Davis Theater, on the second floor, has 200 fixed seats and a small permanent stage, so even a big name plays to a small room. The Ray Charles Terrace is the rooftop, 8,100 square feet under a permanent awning, with a double-sided bar and a view that takes in downtown and the Hollywood sign. The Mike Curb Cafe is up there too, open Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM.

General admission is $22.50 for adults, $18 for seniors and military, $15 for students, and free for anyone 17 and under. Kids 15 and under need an adult with them. Programs are ticketed separately, and members get early access, which matters because the popular conversations sell out. The galleries open at 11 AM on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday and at 10 AM on Saturday, and the museum is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bring a small bag only. Every bag is searched, there's no coat check, and outside food and drink stay out. Smoking isn't allowed anywhere, the terrace included. The museum can't validate parking, so budget for one of the L.A. Live garages, or take the A or E Line to Pico Station, two minutes on foot.
