Hollywood Pantages Theatre

The Hollywood Pantages is a theatre first, so the rules lean toward a night at a show instead of a night at a club. It sits at 6233 Hollywood Blvd, and its website is run by Broadway in Hollywood. There are two seating levels: an orchestra floor with five sections and six numbered aisles, and a mezzanine above it.

Look at the seating chart before you buy, and expect a lobby bar. The theatre has no dress code, and the venue asks only for comfortable, appropriate clothes. Beverages bought in the lobby, alcohol included, can go into the auditorium, but lobby snacks can't. Bring a sealed or empty water bottle if you want water. Smoking is off limits indoors, and you need your ticket stub or e-ticket to come back in after a break.

Photos are fine in the lobby before, during intermission and after the show. Inside, cameras and recording of any kind are prohibited during the performance. Large bags and backpacks are turned away, and there's no bag check.

Driving takes some planning. Seven lots and garages sit within a five minute walk, mostly on Argyle and Vine, and the theatre says to expect $15 to $25. Plenty close at midnight. The Hollywood/Vine Metro station is across the street.
