The Moroccan Lounge is a standing-room club at 901 E. 1st Street in downtown Los Angeles. There's a stage with a disco ball hanging over it, a bar along the side, and a few booths in the bar area. That's about all the furniture you'll find, so on a DJ night the dance floor is whatever space you can claim near the front. The venue doesn't publish a capacity, so check the show page if a sell-out matters to you.

The calendar leans toward indie and rock, and DJ and dance nights fill in around it, with the same door staff and ticket rules for both. Some evenings run as two shows. An early show usually wraps by 9 pm, then the room turns over for the later crowd, so read the listing closely and buy the slot you want. The time on your ticket is when doors open. Music usually starts 15 to 30 minutes later, and the club typically closes about an hour after the last set ends.

Plenty of shows are 21+, and the club makes no exceptions to a posted age limit. Bring a government-issued photo ID if you want a wristband for the bar. The bar and box office take cards only, so leave the twenties at home. Nothing gets thrown, not ever, or you're out. Bags can come in but get searched, and there's no coat check for oversized ones. You can step outside to smoke and come back in with a stamp from the box office, but your drink stays inside.

Street spots exist near 1st Street, and meters are mostly free after 6 pm, but there's no lot and no valet, so a rideshare home is the safer bet. The Little Tokyo / Arts District Metro station is about five minutes away on foot.
