Rio Vista Lot at The Historic Sears Building

The Rio Vista Lot is an open-air space beside the Historic Sears Building in Boyle Heights, the cream-colored former mail-order building with the Sears sign on its tower that stands over Olympic Blvd and Soto St. The address Framework publishes for it is 1951 Rio Vista Ave.

Framework, the promoter that also runs the re:frame series, programs the lot with Goldenvoice, and its event pages are where the rules live. Pawsa's October 2026 date was a sold-out Saturday show that ran from early evening to midnight, with Fletch and Juliet Mendoza opening. Framework's calendar also lists The Dock at the Historic Sears Building, a separate space with an E 12th St address, so read the venue line on your ticket before you set off.

Framework's shows here are 21+, and the gate takes only a physical ID: a US or Canadian driver's license or state ID, a passport, or a US military ID. A photo of your ID on your phone won't get you in. Everyone is searched. Backpacks, bags bigger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches and hydration packs stay home, along with empty water bottles, totems, flags, inflatables, umbrellas, glass or metal containers, cameras with detachable lenses, GoPros and selfie sticks. There's no bag or coat check, so whatever doesn't make it through the gate has nowhere to go. Shoes are required. The event is cashless, with credit and debit cards only, and there's no re-entry once you're in.

There's no designated parking. Framework asks guests to take a rideshare and sets the drop-off and pick-up point at 2621 E 12th St. Food at the Pawsa show came from Joe's Pizza, Zamorales, Heritage LA and Hoagie. Tickets for Framework's shows here sell only through DICE, and the promoter won't honor tickets bought anywhere else.
