SoFi Stadium

SoFi Stadium sits on the old Hollywood Park racetrack grounds in Inglewood, a few miles east of LAX, and planes drop low over it all evening. A translucent canopy covers the stadium and the plaza beside it, but the sides stay open, so a night inside still feels like a night outdoors. The Rams and Chargers play their home games here. When a tour books it, this is the largest room in the LA area for one show, and stadium dates by pop headliners land here along with the occasional dance music spectacle.

The bag rule trips people up more than anything else. Bags have to be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no bigger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or you can carry a small clutch. Anything else goes to a bag valet for a fee, and that line eats time. Outside food and drinks don't get past security, and the whole campus is smoke free, vapes included.

For a concert, buy a parking pass online before you leave home. Each pass is tied to a color-coded zone, and you have to enter through that zone's gate. The stadium is clear that there's no street parking for events inside Hollywood Park, and Inglewood doesn't allow event parking on its residential streets, so circling the blocks won't work. Lots open three to four hours ahead, and the entry gates follow one to two hours before the start time.

Without a pass, ride the Metro C or K Line to LAX/Metro Transit Center Station. On game days Metro runs a shuttle from Bus Bay 8, so check whether it's running for your show. Rideshare pickup after the encore is on Kareem Court at Manchester Boulevard, and the walk out to it takes a while when the whole stadium empties at once.
