Sound Nightclub

Sound Nightclub runs out of a former theater space on Las Palmas, one block off Hollywood Boulevard, and it has become one of the city's steady rooms for house and techno. The club leans on production: its own site describes 3D interior mapping, custom video content and a sound system built for the room, so a midweek opener still gets the full light show. Most of the calendar is international DJs on weekend nights, with local promoters filling the rest of the week.

Doors tend to happen around 10 PM and the night runs late. The 21+ rule is enforced with real ID checks, and the dress code is written down, so read it before you pick your shoes. Sneakers are fine, slides and jerseys are not, and management reserves the right to refuse anyone dressed outside the code.

Parking on the street around Las Palmas is tight on a weekend, which is why the club itself points people to rideshares or the lit lot next door at 1632 Las Palmas. Coming by Metro, the Hollywood/Vine station is a reasonable walk. Tables and bottle service take up a chunk of the floor, but the back of the room stays dance-floor territory, and that is where the night ends up.
