Whisky Hotel Hollywood

Whisky Hotel Hollywood opened in 2025 at 1717 Wilcox Ave, a few steps north of Hollywood Boulevard and a quarter mile west of Hollywood and Vine. The hotel describes itself as a cinematic take on 1960s Hollywood, with a whisky shot handed over at check-in and dark, moody rooms upstairs. The rooftop is the part that matters for a night out. The hotel's FAQ calls it an open-air space serving cocktails, wine, beer and light fare, and its events page offers it for private parties of up to 200 guests. Hours up there change with the season, so the hotel asks you to call the front desk before you plan a visit around it.

Rooftop access is for hotel guests during operating hours, and a private booking can close it to everyone else. Whether a non-guest gets in on a given night depends on what's booked, so for a launch party or a release night, treat your ticket or RSVP as your way in and go by the event listing for the door time.

Downstairs, the lobby restaurant is Los Gauchos Parrilla Argentina by Whisky Hotel, an Argentine grill. Breakfast is included for overnight guests, pets are welcome for a one-time fee, and the whole property is smoke-free.

Parking is the catch. The valet is for registered overnight guests, with limited hours and in-and-out privileges, so if you're only coming for an event, plan on a paid lot nearby or a rideshare. Metro's B Line stops at Hollywood/Vine to the east and Hollywood/Highland to the west, each a short walk, and the hotel puts the Hollywood Bowl at 0.9 miles, about 15 minutes on foot. Checking in requires a guest who is at least 21, with a government photo ID and a credit card.
