LA Neighborhoods
Los Angeles isn't one city. It's a patchwork of scenes. Pick the neighborhood that fits your mood and we'll show you what's happening there, from boardwalk sessions to rooftop DJ nights.
- Hollywood Marquee lights & late nights Look past the stars on the sidewalk. The good nights happen in historic theaters and comedy rooms, and the clubs on the Boulevard stay busy after midnight.
- Downtown LA Rooftop bars & warehouse nights When the rest of the city heads home, DTLA stays out late. The Arts District throws warehouse parties, and Grand Avenue has the big stages.
- Santa Monica Pier sunsets & salt air Santa Monica is the easy-going side of the coast. The pier hosts concerts and the farmers market runs a short walk from the sand.
- Silver Lake Indie shows & eastside cool On the eastside, bands play tiny venues and DJs spin sets in record stores, with no velvet rope at the door. Off nights mean a walk around the reservoir.
- Venice Boardwalk soul & skate culture Loud and a little weird, Venice is still LA's bohemian beach town. Skaters and drum circles share the boardwalk while art walks follow the canals.
- Pasadena Old Town patios & museum nights The Rose Bowl flea market draws the crowds, but Pasadena also does museum nights and Craftsman garden tours at a slower pace.
- Long Beach Harbor breezes & a big-city beat It's a drive south, but Long Beach has the Queen Mary and festivals on the waterfront. The food scene is as diverse as the port.
- Los Angeles Citywide & beyond Not every event belongs to one neighborhood. These are the theaters and one-off venues spread across greater LA and its outer edges, still worth the trip.
